On March 3, 1988, Lyndon LaRouche stunned the United States and the world, when as a Democratic Presidential candidate, he proposed the colonization of Mars as the means to bust out of the economic collapse of the United States, shift its decadent culture, and provide the legitimate basis for cooperation between sovereign nation states on earth. This is the 30 minute presentation from that campaign which was broadcast nationally on March 3, 1988.
By presenting this extraordinary vision of the absolutely possible future, LaRouche sought to inflame the imagination of the young and to confront Washington’s bureaucrats and ideologues with the stupidity of their small mindedness.
