Many well-meaning citizens are calling for action on the drug crisis now engulfing America. From the explosion of fentanyl use to the drug overdoses, the homeless encampments and the moral subversion of our youth, the devastation is out in the open.

What is not out in the open is what stands above and beyond the drug cartels, the street gangs and other criminals: a financial empire of drug money. This empire now includes major banks, financial institutions and "citizens above suspicion."

These individuals and institutions are never prosecuted, although they are the ones who both make possible, and profit enormously from, the operations of the drug cartels.
