The way we arrive at our views today has deteriorated generally. We are inundated with political arguments aimed at stoking our prejudices and leaving us hopelessly trapped in the moment. We miss the actual dynamics driving events and have difficulties imagining and acting on the future. German mathematician and philosopher Carl Gauss used an entirely new mode of thought in figuring out the orbit of the asteroid Ceres, something we can learn from in analyzing political events and winning the present war for the Republic.
