After being pilloried by the establishment for his defense of President Donald Trump and his attacks on neo-con warmonger Nikki Haley, Vivek Ramaswamy is now lashing out in fear. Over the last few weeks, Vivek has trotted out a convoluted justification for staying in the presidential race and thus, avoiding the wrath of the Bushies that he knows would ensue if he were to fully back Trump.

Speaking on Tucker Carlson’s new network and to other media outlets, Vivek claims that Trump is wounded and “they will never let him” in the White House again, so the only way to stop neo-con Haley is for him to stay in the race to be available for the inevitable fall of Trump.

This is pure cowardice and opportunism. Vivek has now bought into the theme for all the primary candidates claiming to support “Donald Trump’s policies.”  He is saying aloud the subliminal message of all of them: “Trump is going down, find an alternative more palatable to the establishment.”  He does this despite the fact that Trump is running away with the nomination and leads in the general election prospects, despite everything the establishment throws at him. Haley is tanking despite the influx of Wall Street money and media adulation. Vivek, though endearing himself to some in the MAGA base, is going nowhere.

If Vivek were serious about taking on the “deep state” or whatever term he wants to use, he would get fully behind Trump and make sure that the one thing the establishment fears the most, the re-election of Trump, actually happens. If he can’t stand up for Trump now, he’ll surely crumble when he, Vivek, is the target.
