Our Founders' Republic vs. Biden's Wannabe Dictatorship

Our founders went all the way back in history to search for republics that succeeded, and for those that turned their citizens into bestial slaves and failed. The great dramatist Friedrich Schiller contrasted Solon of Athens with Lycurgus of Sparta, two models of states which are irreconcilable in history, saying their essential conflict was true for all future states.
Lycurgus' model birthed the legal structures of oligarchical fascism, the same legal structures employed to legally enable fascism in Germany and Italy. Solon's model set the stage for a Republic where citizens participated in justice.
