July 5 (LPAC)--Despite being caught in the "scandal of the century," and under Department of Justice and SEC investigation as well as bribery probes in six other countries, the British weapons giant BAE Systems continues to be awarded key U.S. defense contracts almost weekly.

BAE said on July 3 it had won a contract worth $183 million from the U.S. Department of Defense to deliver thermal weapons sights, according to Reuters. "The order is the first award under a five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract that could reach $1 billion," BAE said in a news release.
