Iran's Ahmad Khatami Denounces Cheney as "Little Fly"
May 25 (LPAC)--In his Friday prayers hardline cleric Ahmad Khatami (no relation to the former reformist president of Iran, Mohammad Khatami) spoke of El Baradi's IAEA report saying that there is no evidence of Iran's nuclear activities towards "forbidden objectives. The matter should be considered finalized, but we still witness the continuous antagonistic stands adopted by the United States and Britain."
Khatami then referred to Cheney boasting aboard a US warship in the Persian Gulf, "All options are on the table," and said, "All Iranian options are on the table too." Addressing Cheney's remarks directly Khatami said, "We tell this notorious and extremely corrupt individual that you have repeated such words so often that one feels like vomiting when one hears them uttered anew, so why don't you try to say something new now. Just as you bully, uttering such nonsense, you should be aware that the Iranian nation, too, has all options on the table for punching the United States in the mouth. "
He continued, "O little fly! The high peaks where eagles build their nests are far above your flight altitude."
Later in his sermon he called for fair negotiations on the nuclear issue as the rational solution "if there is any bit of rationalism left among Westerners" and also emphasized that the tragic situation among the Palestinians "is the Islamic world's main concern."
