Reid Plans Adult Supervision for George
May 21 (LPAC)--To prevent W. from making the end run around the Senate by waiting until it was out of session to make appointments he knew would not be approved, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has come up with a plan. Reid reportedly will call the Senate into session over the August recess just long enough to force W. to send his nominees who need confirmation to the Senate. The word is Reid will hold a short `pro forma' session every 10 days, naming a local Senator to run the hall. "Senate workers and Republicans are miffed," US News Washington Whispers reports, "but Reid is proving that he's the new sheriff in town."
