Arnie, the Hitler Admirer, Wants to Bench Press the U.S. Government

May 21 (LPAC)--"It's bad enough that the federal government has yet to take the threat of global warming seriously, but it borders on malfeasance for it to block the efforts of states such as California and Connecticut that are trying to protect the public's health and welfare." With that opening salvo premised on multiple insane assumptions, ghost writers for Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jodi Rell lead their attack in the May 21 Washington Post on the Environmental Protection Agency and the Federal government.

Arnie and Jodi, Republican governors of California and Connecticut, have their bylines on an op-ed piece that appears the day before the EPA is to conduct the first of two hearings on a waiver request on California's plan to impose stricter auto tailpipe emissions standards than the Federal government.

If the EPA fails to approve the waiver, the "warmers" say, "we have an obligation to take legal action and settle the issue once and for all...."

"There can be little debate anymore on whether the effects of climate change constitute a looming threat to the public's health and welfare...."

"It's high time the federal government becomes our partner or gets out of the way."
