Benn Steil: Let Hedge Funds Control Government Debt

May 3 (EIRNS)--Benn Steil, who calls for abolition of all national currencies in the May/June issue of the Council on Foreign Relations' (CFR) magazine, Foreign Affairs, heads a committee to open the Eurozone government debt-trading electronic platform, MTS, to direct access by hedge funds. Steil's bait for the drooling European governments, is that they will get access to massive hedge-fund controlled "liquidity." That is, give the Europeans enough rope to hang themselves.
