Who are Gore's Nazi Friends in Italy?

April 27 (EIRNS) --Al Gore's friends in Italy are calling for reducing world population to half its current size within the next 4 to 5 generations. Initiator of this campaign is Marco Pannella, founder and leader of the Italian Radical Party and a veteran mercenary of the (CCF) in the 1950's, who also praises Gore as a hero of his movement. In 2005, Pannella founded an organization inside his party, called Soft Landing (Rientro Dolce), which officially states its aim of cutting by half the world population see.

On behalf of Rientro Dolce, Pannella wrote an open letter to a popular Italian blog on February 13, 2006, calling for an "energetic, immediate demographic policy for a soft landing," as essential "to implement policies of energy saving and investments in renewable energies." In a clearly intended endorsement, Pannella went so far as to state that "If Chinese Nazi-Communism had not established generations ago, to "Nazistically" control births, by exterminating fetuses and prematurely born babies, as well as the guilty parents, how far would we be now in terms of population growth?"

On October 10, 2006, Pannella published an ad in the neocon daily, Il Foglio , proposing that Al Gore be included in the Pantheon of his Radical Party, together with Toni Blair, the Italian politician who introduced pro-divorce and pro-abortion laws, Loris Fortuna, and others. In reproducing the ad on its website, Pannella's Rientro Dolce then added: "It should be reminded that Al Gore has often mentioned the necessity of stopping world population growth."
