There are new nuclear power initiatives across Eurasia,
many in conjunction with Russia, China, or India. In a reflection
of all the motion, on May 4, even the director of energy
for the Asian Development Bank, WooChong Um, said in an
interview with the Associated Press, at the Bank’s annual
meeting, that the Bank is considering supporting the use of
nuclear power. “We’ll decide in the next three months or so
which way we’ll go.” He remarked that the Bank would have to add in-house nuclear experts, to be able to promote nuclear energy.
