Farrell, Pennsylvania Adopts the Homeowner and Bank Protection Act

December 18, 2007 (LPAC)--The City Council of Farrell, Pennsylvania (pop. 6000) Monday night became the 15th Pennsylvania municipal elected body to adopt a resolution supporting the HBPA and Rep. James' HR 418.  

The Pennsylvania. municipalities that have adopted resolutions so far are: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Erie, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, New Castle, Johnstown, Sunbury, Berwick, Monessen, Ellwood City, West Mifflin, Canonsburg, Farrell and Jim Thorpe.  Scrantion was excluded, because, technically they did not pass a resolution, but had the City Clerk send a signed message in support of Harold James's House Bill 418: "It is with great pleasure that Scranton City Council offers their full support for House Bill 418.  It is their hope that our Legislators will support this and take emergency action to protect homeowners and banks by enacting a Homeowners and Banks Protection Act."
