November 5, 2007 (LPAC)—The LaRouche Youth Movement hit the streets of Washington early Monday with LaRouche's call Nancy Pelosi to resign as Speaker of the House, along with copies of LaRouche's Homeowners and Bank Protection Act, and October 10th webcast pamphlet, "Save America from the British Empire."
The organizing is to kick off an intense week of organizing, in Washington, and in the Congressional districts, where the revolt against Pelosi's "Mis-leadership" is growing.
Already, two issues that Pelosi has tried to keep out of Congress—the impeachment of Cheney, and action on the mortgage crisis--are on the table this week:
*Impeachment of Cheney. Ohio Congressman and Democratic presidential primary candidate Dennis Kucinich, announced he will be offering a "privileged resolution" on Tuesday, Nov. 6, that will require, within two days, a vote on House Resolution 333, the impeachment of Cheney. Kucinich said last week that the impeachment issue is crucial because of the danger of Cheney launching war against Iran.
*Action on the mortgage crisis. Today a press conference will be held by two leading Democrats: New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, with Rep. Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania on appraisals fraud and related issues that were used to create a mortgage bubble.
On Sept. 27, at a hearing of the House Financial Committee, Kanjorski repeatedly noted that the mortgage securities blowout is now a "systemic financial crisis." In response to this, Lyndon LaRouche replied, "Freeze, freeze, freeze" the mortgages to create a firewall as the HBPA indicates.
