October 25, 2007 (LPAC)--Lyndon LaRouche stressed today that the devastating fire in California, which has already resulted in the evacuation of more people from their homes than occurred as a result of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast, is the result of the bankrupt policies of the Federal and state government. These policies include the failure to invest in necessary infrastructure, inadequate firefighting equipment and manpower, the deployment of the National Guard to Iraq, and the environmental policies which contributed to rapid spread of the fires.

These problems did not begin with Arnold Schwarzenegger, however, since he came to power in the state, the collapse in California has accelerated, LaRouche said.

What has to be recognized is that Schwarzenegger is the Mussolini of California. He is the same as Mussolini, including the gut--the Benito gut.

The problem, which Schwarzenegger represents in California, is, at the same time, paradigmatic of what is threatening the very existence of the United States on a national level. The forces, backing Schwarzenegger in California, are preventing effective action on a national level to stop the war policy, and to revive the U.S. and world economy using the Rooseveltian methods of Lyndon LaRouche.

Schwarzenegger was put into power by George Shultz. He is protected on the Democratic side in California by Nancy Pelosi and Diane Feinstein, who are both controlled by Shultz and Felix Rohatyn, both of whom were responsible for the fascist coup in Chile in 1973 of Augusto Pinochet. Shultz and Rohatyn are both promoters of the Revolution in Military Affairs, which is behind the war policy of Dick Cheney and the Bush Administration, an administration shaped by Shultz from beginning. The net result of Shultz's and Rohatyn's control over Pelosi and Feinstein is that the latter are actually defending the war policy of their fascist mentors, while leading a party which claims to be anti-war, but which has refused to stop that war or to oust its key architect in the administration, Dick Cheney.

All this, while Schwarzenegger is backed by the corrupt side of the Kennedy machine. Although not all of the members of the Kennedy family support him, those few young members of the family who oppose what Schwarzenegger represents have been outvoted. The result is that the tradition of the pro-fascist Joe Kennedy, rather than that of John and Bobby, has now taken over the family in support of a fascist clown.

Nothing will change the conditions, which led to the present destruction unless what Schwarzenegger represents is addressed in this direct way. If you are not willing to do this, then stop complaining.
