Ayad Allawi Campaigns in Washington to be Named Cheney's Attack Dog

18 Aug 2007

August 18, 2007 (LPAC)--Ayad Allawi, interim Prime Minister of Iraq 2004-2005, known as a "butcher," is Dick Cheney's choice to replace Iraq Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki as part of Cheney's schemes for war against Iran. Today he campaigned for that office in an op-ed in the Washington Post.

Allawi wrote that Iraq's problems are not the result of America, but of Iraqis, especially PM Maliki.

In his six-point platform, he says "Iraq needs to be more assertive in telling Iran to end its interference in Iraqi affairs and in persuading Syria to play a more constructive role in Iraq."

"It's past time for a change at the top of the Iraqi government," Allawi concludes, implying that there's no one better to take over than himself.
