White House Will Write the "Petraeus Report" on Iraq

16 Aug 2007

August 16, 2007 (LPAC) - Despite President Bush's endlessly-repeated promises that he will abide by the report on the Iraq "surge" to be provided by Gen. David Petraeus in mid-September, the White House today confirmed published reports that the "Petraeus Report" will actually be written in the White House.

White House spokesman Gordon Johnroe said that the September 15 report will be written by the White House and National Security Council staff, with input from Petraeus, Ambassador Ryan Crocker, Middle East Commander Admiral William Fallon, Secretary of State Condi Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates.

This is why Lyndon LaRouche said yesterday that Petraeus should be called "General Patsy," because "He's there to carry the blame."
