August 13, 2007 (LPAC)--Faced with troubles on several fronts at the same time, Deutsche Bank, Germany's largest, decided to opt for open insanity, and hire none other than the totally discredited ex-Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve Alan "Bubbles" Greeenspan, as a top consultant on how to steer the ship through the storm. The release published by the bank this morning, states:

"Dr. Josef Ackermann, Chairman of the Management Board and the Group Executive Committee, said: 'We at Deutsche Bank are delighted to be able to offer our investment banking clients access to Alan Greenspan's strategic insight. Dr. Greenspan's position as one of the architects of the modern financial system gives him a unique perspective from which to help our clients make critical risk management decisions.'"

According to the bank, Alan Greenspan said: "Deutsche Bank has a world-leading investment banking franchise and is a major player in wholesale financial markets. I look forward to adding my perspectives on the world economy to its own and to helping the Bank advise its clients."
