December 28, 2007 (LPAC)--The City Council of Titusville last night became the 21st municipality in Pennsylvania to adopt a resolution supporting the Homeowners and Banks Protection Act (HBPA)--proposed by economist Lyndon LaRouche to attack the foreclosures crisis and financial collapse--and State Rep. Harold James' HR 418, which supports the HBPA.

The Titusville resolution is modeled on the one adopted Nov. 8 by the City Council of New Castle, Pennsylvania. One Council member assured a LaRouchePAC representative that "the Congressman [John Peterson, R.-5th C.D.] will hear about it before anybody--he only lives 6 minutes away from here."

Located in Crawford County in the northwestern corner of the Commonwealth, Titusville is famous as the birthplace of the oil industry--the first commercial oil well in the world was drilled there by Col. Edwin Drake on August 27, 1859.
