It's Endgame: Welcome to the World of Decameron II

November 7, 2009 (LPAC)-- Just as LaRouche forecast on Sept. 8, we are now fully into the post-Oct. 1st endgame phase of the entire current global financial system. We have entered the domain of Weimar hyperinflation, at the same time that the collapse of real production is accelerating at breathtaking speed. Friday's announcement by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that unemployment in October had reached 10.2 percent, with the household survey showing a boost in unemployment of 589,000 during the month, was a psychological break-point for President Obama. He turned up, late, for a Rose Garden press conference on Friday morning, totally deflated and almost speechless. The situation has reached the point where the best spin-meisters that the White House money can buy, can't spin reality in any positive direction.

Lyndon LaRouche's own observation was that the performance by the President, in the face of this accelerating collapse, shows that he is genuinely stupid. He either just doesn't get it, or perhaps the weight of the world has driven him clinically insane. Either way, he is out of it, and needs to be rescued from the fact that he just can't handle the responsibilities of dealing with this breakdown crisis.

So the only legitimate question to be asked is: What are we to do now? The only correct answer is: Do what LaRouche has been saying must be done or go to Hell and drag the entire planet down with you. Either follow LaRouche's plan for survival, or the planet is screwed. And that means starting with the Glass-Steagall bankruptcy reorganization of the entire financial system. LaRouche has put forward the Four Powers alliance, as the political power combination capable of imposing this policy on a dying British imperial system called globalization. Lyn's upcoming webcast on Nov. 11 must be the rallying point for this winning strategy. Do not underestimate the historic importance of this webcast, in light of what Lyn and Helga accomplished at Rhodes, and what has been moving forward in Russia and China.

On this website, you will read several accounts that just underscore the desperate collapse of the entire system. We are living through the kind of Hell that Boccaccio wrote about in his Decameron. On the one side, you have desperate insanity coming out of the oligarchy. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and other big Wall Street institutions have found some way to corner part of the market in swine flu vaccine, and shipments of the scarce vaccine arrived directly at their Wall Street offices this week, sparking a popular rage, once word leaked out. And in Seoul, South Korea, their equivalent of the Food and Drug Administration has raided the corporate offices of banks and pharmaceutical companies, confiscating records as part of a similar probe into hoarding of Tamiflu, the treatment for swine flu, by HSBC (formerly Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation of Opium War infamy). At the same time, the biggest HMOs, led by United and Humana, have posted record-breaking profits for the third quarter, largely from Medicare payments. Seniors have been recently hit with a 10-percent increase in their Medicare payments! This kind of delusional behavior—that somehow, as in the time of the European Black Death, the oligarchy will avoid the mass extinction hitting "the masses"—is really a sign of the times.

On the other side, we are getting some horrific reports from LaRouche PAC activists around the country, about the breakdown of society. These reports are invaluable anecdotal reports from the real battle field, of literally death in the streets, as the crisis deepens and hits more and more households.

Obama and Pelosi and company have been hit with a triple mass strike hex this week, and the situation is only going to get worse for them. After Tuesday's electoral disaster, Congress was confronted with a mass invasion of their Capitol Hill sanctuary, as tens of thousands (by our own count) of angry citizens, invaded the Congressional office buildings, to protest the upcoming healthcare vote. Those who thought that the mass strike ferment had suddenly "ebbed" after the August town hall meeting revolt, were dead wrong. Remember the 300,000 or so who turned out in Washington in September, and the anti-Obama, anti-incumbency vote on Tuesday? On Thursday, a representative group of citizens showed up to deliver the same angry message to Congress. And Saturday, another rally is scheduled for Capitol Hill. On Friday, Steny Hoyer, the Democratic Majority Leader in the House, announced that Saturday's scheduled vote on the healthcare bill was postponed—because they didn't have the needed 218 votes. Friday's unemployment figures just added to the process—and nothing except a policy change to what LaRouche has called for is going to change anything. The situation has turned, decisively, against these rotten cowards.

Think in Boccaccio's terms. The world has gone insane. If you think in those terms, you will be prepared for whatever tomorrow morning brings. Nobody is in control of anything. GM is demanding that the German government turn over $4.5 billion, as a price for saving Opel from shutdown. Well guess what? Merkel does not have the money to succumb to the blackmail! It's not very smart to shake down a pauper.
