LaRouche: Cheney Trip is a Diversion; Pakistan is the #1 Target

07 Sep 2008

September 4, 2008 (LPAC)--Lyndon LaRouche emphasized today that from the standpoint of the British drive for World War III, the trip of U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney to Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbajan should be seen as a diversionary operation, with only secondary or tertiary significance at most.

"There are too many checks and balances in place," LaRouche commented, referring to Cheney's trip, noting that there are many in the world who are watching Cheney's actions very closely.

In LaRouche's view, the #1 target of the British at this moment is Pakistan. As LaRouche put it, "think of all the implications of the destabilization of Pakistan, including down the line for Iran. The British destabilization of Pakistan has explosive potential. The situation in Pakistan has implications for Afghanistan and vice versa. The threat to Pakistan also is a threat to India. This is a hot situation."

The ouster of Musharaff by the British with the blessing of the Bush Administration, has now been followed by an assassination attempt against the Prime Minister of Pakistan and by the first incursion of U.S. led NATO forces from Afghanistan into Pakistan, a move that has been condemned by the Pakistani government, parliament and military. Today the incursion was followed up by another attack in the same area by a U.S. drone.

At the same time, the release of documents indicating a secret deal between the Bush Administration and the Indian government in respect the U.S.-Indian nuclear deal, may result in the destabilization of the Indian government, which only recently barely survived a vote of no-confidence over the issue of the deal.

LaRouche stressed that forces are in motion to destabilize the entire area. Bush opened the flood gates by allowing the British to oust Musharaff. This has now generated a destabilizing factor in the entire area.
