Anti-Monarchy Ferment in Thailand Worries the Army and the Brits

October 29 (LPAC)--The level of open anger against the Thai Monarchy has forced the head of the Army to threaten a coup and/or serious actions against those deemed not sufficiently "reverent" towards the monarchy. The monarchy, representing the interests of the Queen of all Queens in London, has fully supported the years-long campaign which ousted the popularly elected Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and hundreds of his political allies, and is now in open support of the Soros-linked baby-boomer anarchists who have occupied the Government House for months and provoked violent confrontations with police in their effort to shut down all government functioning.

Army Chief General Anupong Paochinda announced that the Army "will not tolerate" the anti-monarchical sentiments now filling the Internet and appearing in leaflets, and even being voiced on radio stations. "The monarchy is a revered institution," Gen. Anupong said, although this worn-out phrase is less and less true in today's Thailand.

Gen. Anupong ordered police to shut down a radio station in Bangkok because of "offensive remarks" against the monarchy, and there are moves to block Internet websites. Note that this same Gen. Anupong refused to obey the order of the Prime Minister to clear the anarchists from Government House, and even deployed army troops to protect the mob from the police.

While there is likely to be a coup soon, the military itself is becoming discredited by its recent actions, and such a move will further push Thailand into chaos, in the midst of the breakdown of the global economic order.
