Was The Randian Idiot Greenspan Thinking of LaRouche During His Congressional Testimony?

October 24, 2008 (LPAC)--In demonstrating afresh, and conclusively, that only an idiot could believe what former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan proclaims he believes, there was this gem, near the end of his testimony, which indicates that he may have had LaRouche on his mind, as he was being grilled by Congressmen.

In response to a challenge as to why no one at the Fed could have foreseen the crisis which Greenspan said exposed a "flaw" in his worldview, he defended the Fed's economists. "If all those extraordinarily capable people were unable to foresee the development of this critical problem...I think we have to ask ourselves why is that. AND THE ANSWER IS THAT WE'RE NOT SMART ENOUGH AS PEOPLE (emphasis added). We just cannot see events that far in advance. And unless we can, it's very difficult to look back and say, `Why didn't we catch something?'"

Greenspan, who was a protege of the lunatic sex cult leader Ayn Rand, went one step further: "If we are right 60% of the time in forecasting, we're doing extraordinarily well. That means that we are wrong 40% of the time. We can try to do better, but forecasting NEVER gets to the point where it's 100% accurate" (emphasis added). In reviewing his testimony, and his record as an economist, as a whole, it is clear that only in his dreams has Greenspan ever achieved a 60% accuracy rating.
