Ayers and Dohrn Author New Book: White Supremacy Dominates U.S. Political System

Obama associates Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn author new book, saying white supremacy dominates U.S. political system

October 23, 2008 (LPAC)--Obama associates Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn have authored a new book, "Race Course against White Supremacy," which asserts that "white supremacy has been the dominant political system in the United States since its earliest days," and it exists in the criminal justice system, election processes, war policy, and education, according to the book's product description on www.amazon.com.

The book is advertised for pre-orders, and will be released in June 2009. The book consists of an essay by each on white supremacism. According to the book's product description, "The book draws upon the authors' own confrontations with authorities during the Vietnam era, and their beliefs that racism and war are interwoven issues."

Ayers and Dohrn founded the terrorist Weather Underground faction of SDS, which, in 1981, performed a Brinks robbery in Long Island, New York, where 2 policemen and a Brinks guard were killed, among other robberies and bombings.

On Dec. 21, 1997, Barack Obama wrote a review of Bill Ayers' book, "A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court," which had recently been published by Beacon Press. Obama's photo, and his brief comment praising the book appeared in the Chicago Tribune. Obama's review called the book, "A searing and timely account of the juvenile court system, and the courageous individuals who rescue hope from despair." The review was part of a column called "Mark My Word," in which Chicago notables praise their current favorite books.

Just a few weeks before Obama's review was published in the Tribune, Michelle Obama had organized a panel about juvenile justice on Nov. 20, 1997. The publicity for Michelle Obama's meeting announced that "Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law School..." according to zombietime.com.

Several conservative blogs pose the question, whether Obama will offer a review of the new Ayers/Dohrn book. The prominent advertisement of the book two weeks before the election, might be called, "Rev. Wright's revenge."

More than 3,000 "educators" have signed a statement of support for "our friend and colleague, Bill Ayers," noting that "The current characterizations of Professor Ayers--an `unrepentant terrorist,' `lunatic leftist,--are unrecognizable to those who know or work with him." Signers include H. Bruce Franklin, the "Rutgers professor" who founded the Revolutionary Union with Robert Avakian, who also served in Air Force Intelligence.
