California Budget Crisis, Day 50

Aug. 20, 2008 - (LPAC) - Los Angeles- Even right-wing radio shock jocks are turning on Schwarzenegger, causing Shultz's Golem to meltdown on a radio talk show yesterday. As the California budget crisis -- which is only an advanced, local manifestation of the disintegration of the world financial system -- hit day 50, with no end in sight, Arnie went on KFI radio to yuck it up with hosts John and Ken, who have generally served as media flaks for the fascist Governor.

Only this time, they turned on him, accusing him of abandoning his promise to "fix" the state's dysfunctional fiscal situation, to pursue radical environmental policies. The two shock jocks, who are hard-core neo-cons who promote massive budget cuts, but who oppose Arnie's Gorey environmentalism, obviously struck a nerve. After nervously trying some banter to deflect the charge, the Guvernator went off. "This is absolutely absurd what you're saying right now....You're living in the Stone Age if you think the environmental issue has anything to do with the budget or the declining economy worldwide."

He continued ranting at John and Ken: "Don't lie to the people...don't pull the wool over their eyes. It's nonsense Republican right-wing talk." After this outburst, one of them asked him, in a nasty voice, if he is "still on anesthesia," referring to a recent operation on his knee. They then provoked him further, hitting at his decision to fly a private plane back-and-forth each day from L.A. to Sacramento. They asked him, "How does that help the environment?"

In an answer which echoes arch-Greenie carbon-producing hypocrite Al Gore, Arnie snapped again. "I'm not saying it does....But, I mean, this is the only way I get around so I can be everywhere at the same time. But I don't apologize for it. I fly my private plane, and that's the end of that."

When asked if he has any regrets, as the state is no better off today, under his governance, than it was five years ago under his predecessor, Gray Davis, who he replaced in a special recall election (it is actually in much worse shape, and sinking fast!), Schwarzenegger again demonstrated how removed he is from reality. "I made great decisions. I have no regrets at all. It's just the regret I have is that not everyone is seeing it exactly as I see it."

This rambling, psychotic episode confirms what a wise, seasoned political observer said about what Shultz's puppet, Arnie, has done to California: "The state is coming to an end, with a jerk. He's no longer coming, he is soon gone."
