Brown Pushes Blair for EU President

February 22, 2008 (LPAC)--British Prime Minister Gordon Brown pushed for Tony Blair to become the new European Union President during his visit to the EU in Brussels according to EurActiv.com. He also pushed for more economic reforms, the creation of an independent European carbon bank to improve the functioning of the EU's Emissions Trading Scheme, as well as an agreement on a World Bank multilateral fund to help developing countries to transform into so called low carbon economies.
