LaRouche: 'Obama Will Get Chopped Down To Prepare Bloomberg Run'

January 7, 2008 (LPAC) - Lyndon LaRouche was asked by a French member of the LaRouche Youth Movement yesterday what he though of Barack Obama after his Iowa caucus victory. He replied by situating the entire campaign as a farce being played by the hedge funds to get a Bloomberg candidacy:

LAROUCHE: Actually, he's nothing. The game in the United States that's being played now, is you have a great financial crisis in the world and in the United States. What are the leaders of the Democratic and the Republican Party candidacies doing about this! What are they saying? What are they proposing? They're silly asses! They're proposing nothing! Now, what's the game? The game that's being played in the United States now, is to discredit all of the candidates of the parties, who are now running--discredit them all, so that none of them could possibly get the nomination and be a winning candidate. In the meantime, by about May of this year--at some time say, May 3rd--the current Mayor of New York, Bloomberg, who is a billionaire, will be moving in to head up a fascist candidacy, uniting many elements, as the one and only candidate for President of the United States!

Now, as far as what you had with Obama: Obama is nothing.

Obama is like a ticket machine. You know, you go to a machine, you punch a button, and a fortune-telling card comes out; you punch a button again, you get another fortune-telling card; you punch a button again, you get another fortune-telling card. He's nothing! He's empty. He's a babbler. There's no substance to him. He's not stupid, but as a candidate, he's a joke. Hillary's a serious candidate. Most of the others are not too serious. Hillary's doing a bad job, but she's probably the one with the greatest appeal.

But now, the only thing they did: They ganged up and ran an operation, which was run out of this Bloomberg operation--in other words, the idea of discrediting all present candidates, chop them down to small size; come May 3rd, then consider whether Bloomberg is going to assemble his forces he's already assembling, behind him, which include the forces behind the Washington Post and others, which is actually a fascist combination: plan to make this guy, the "man on the white horse"--the Napoleon Bonaparte of the United States, in these circumstances. That's Bloomberg! That's the game.

So, Obama is worth nothing. He probably is not going to end up anywhere. They may build him up, and then chop him down. If he's built up, they'll chop him down. Somebody else'll come up, they'll chop 'em down. So that, by May 3rd, the May 3rd period, the position should be in place that they hope to have discredited every candidate now running, so much, that Bloomberg can be brought in as a man on a white horse. That's the game. And read the politics of the United States that way.

The politics are being controlled, and from the top, by the speculators, by the hedge funds and similar kinds of financial speculators, not by so-called "interests." Bloomberg represents that interest, he's controlled by that interest. The campaigns, from the top, the Democratic and Republican campaigns, are being controlled from top by these financial interests, now.

We're the only alternative. We're the ones who have a base, and the base is in my legislation for my Homeowners and Bank Protection Act. We're building a base on the state level. But if you go at the national level, the national party level--as of now, even though there's some good people up there--as of now, the parties as a whole are simply under the control of these financial pirates, who are funding and controlling the campaigns. And these fellows who are the financial interests, are playing games with the candidates--including Hillary. And Obama.

So, don't try to read any significance into any of these candidates, as they stand now. They're all up for the chop, because the highway is being paved, as of May, approximately, to bring Bloomberg in, as the one and only winning Presidential candidate--and you will then have a fascist regime in the United States.

In a later discussion, LaRouche responded to the Bloomberg bash being held in Oklahoma today, where several participants (and the gathered press) were portraying Obama as the one candidate who is "reaching out" to moderate Republicans: "Yes, I can see his hand out there right now."
