Last Warning! Under Pelosi, Democrats Regress to Pre-2006 Vote Levels

December 12, 2007 (LPAC)--Democratic candidates for Congress lost by wide margins to Republicans in two special elections held yesterday--a regression to election results prior to the 2006 election breakout, when the Democrats won 39 Republican seats in Congress. Under the Ms.Leadership of corrupt Nancy Pelosi, who listens to "Fascist Felix" Rohatyn of Wall Street, Congress has fallen from its 2006 70% approval approval rating to 10.6% today, and LaRouche has demanded the corrupt Pelosi be dumped. As LaRouche added today, "It's dump Felix, or lose your ass."

In Ohio's 5th C.D. in its rural northwest, Republican candidate Bob Latta--who heavily played the "anti-immigrant card"--defeated Democrat Robin Weirauch by a 57-43% margin. In 2006, anti-free trade Democratic candidates for Governor and U.S. Senate carried the 5th District, even though the congressional seat, since 1989, had been held by a Republican, Paul Gillmor,  who died in September. The Democrats spent heavily in the race. One blogger aptly commented, "I am afraid this is going to happen all over with this leadership." Several other Democratic groups are now acknowledging, "people hate Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, as much as they do Dick Cheney and George W. Bush."

In Virginia's 1st C.D., on its southeastern shore, Republican Robert Wittman trounced Democrat Phil Forgit by 60-38% margin in a special election caused by the death of the incumbent, Republican JoAnn Davis. While this district has been in Republican hands since 1977, both current Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and former Virginia Governor Mark Warner, now running for U.S. Senate, campaigned heavily for Forgit, while the Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) campaigned for Wittman. Forgit himself is a teacher and veteran who was awarded the Bronze Star in Iraq in 2005. The National Republican Congressional Campaign predicted last night, "The Democrats won't get two 2006's in a row."
