December 10, 2007 (LPAC)--U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) polled 3,000 of his constituents and found 61% favor impeaching Cheney and removing him from office. Taking issue "with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's declaration that impeachment should be 'off the table'," Wexler "disputed that impeachment hearings would be a distraction," as he spoke at the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee meeting last week, Op-ed News reports. Rather, he pointed out that the best way to get the Democratic agenda adopted "is to have impeachment hearings." Doing that, he said, will show "we have the courage of our convictions."
