December 8, 2007 (LPAC)--Referring back to Russian President Putin's offer to President Bush at their Kennebunkport summit last July, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today, that the U.S. and Russia still have a chance to reach an understanding on missile defense plans for Eastern Europe, if the U.S. is also willing. Lavrov spoke to RIA Novosti after returning to Moscow from the Russia-NATO Council meeting in Brussels.
