Bush Foreclosure Hot Line Offers Religious Home Schooling for the Homeless

El teléfono de ayuda sobre embargos hipotecarios de Bush ofrece educación religiosa en el hogar, a quienes lo perdieron

December 7, 2007 (LPAC)--During his press conference on Thursday, President George W. Bush said: "I have a message for every homeowner worried about rising mortgage payments: The best you can do for your family is to call 1-800-995-HOPE." According to the Washington Post, people who called this number got a busy signal, but if they had gotten through, they would have reached the Freedom Christian Academy, which offers religious-based curriculum for home schooling and is located in Ponder, Texas, northwest of Dallas.

The White House was quick to correct the Decider, who, they said, had given out the wrong number. Nonetheless, Bush, who is well-known for his promotion of so-called "faith-based initiatives" is offering homeowners no more hope than a wrong number, a busy signal and home schooling on the street outside the home from which they have just been evicted. Perhaps Bush believes homeowners can avoid the consequences of mortgage default by being raptured.
