The UN Denounces George Shultz's Political Assassination Operations
The Philippines military is "in a state of denial concerning the numerous extra-judicial executions in which its soldiers are implicated," concluded Philip Alston, the UN Special Rapporteur assigned to investigate what EIR has labeled the Philippine's "Operation Condor." Operation Condor was the assassination policy implemented by fascist General Pinochet in Chile, under the guiding hand of Pinochet's controller George Shultz. Shultz is also the architect of two coups in the Philippines, in 1986 and 2001, through his asset General Fidel Ramos (see "Shultz brings Operation Condor to the Philippines," ), and certainly authorized the current murder spree against political opponents, through the same Gen. Ramos, who is still the controller of the Philippines government.
The UN Report by Alston concludes that "leaders of leftist organizations are systematically hunted down, by interrogating and torturing those who may know their whereabouts, and they are often killed following a campaign of individual vilification designed to instill fear into the community. He adds that the criminal justice system is corrupted, "increasingly focused on prosecuting civil society leaders rather than their killers," who act under a cover of "prevailing impunity."
Another Philippine Coup Attempt
The General and the Colonel who were standing trial for two earlier coup attempts in the Philippines marched out of the courtroom, seized a hotel, called for a "people's power" revolt and for the military to withdraw support from President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Friends of LaRouche PAC have been trying for years to convince the Filipinos that the "people's power" revolts which overthrew Presidents Marcos and Estrada in 1986 and 2001, were actually orchestrated by George Shultz and his fascist cohorts in Washington and London, and can't be reproduced in that form by honest revolutionaries -- but some Filipinos won't listen.
The result was a rapid crushing of the effort, with heavily armed troops busting into the hotel with tear gas, arresting General Danny Lim and Col. (now Senator) Antonio Trillanes, along with 30 or so soldiers, reporters and others who were with them. (Trillanes was elected to the Senate in the 2007 election while being held in prison - demonstrating very broad popular support for the groups anti-Arroyo stand.)
Among those who joined the action were former Vice President Teofisto Guingona, and two Bishops, who all were arrested.
A curfew was declared from midnight to 5:00 AM, in Manila as well as Central and Southern Luzon. The government said that if there is no related actions in the region over the next day, the curfew will be lifted.
However, even with this grim situation in the Philippines, the better factions inside the country are certainly responding to LaRouche’s ideas of a new global monetary system and Eurasian Landbridge development. If the U.S. Congress had the guts to impeach George Shultz's tool, Dick Cheney, the world can begin to move on LaRouche's alternative policies.
