Why Wouldn't the British Want to Cooperate with the DOJ Over BAE?

November 25, 2007 (LPAC) -- A report on the U.S. DOJ investigation of bribery and political crimes by the Blair Administration and their Saudi partners occupied three pages of the Sunday New York Times Business section today. To find out about the most explosive aspects of the crime (the use of the BAE slush fund to finance al Qaeda and other terrorist operations around the world, and links to the 9/11 attack in the U.S.), one would have to study what has already been documented by LPAC (see our dossier).

However, some new material, in regard to the ongoing DOJ investigation, is included. The Times reports that Peter Gardiner, who was responsible for the series of articles in the London Guardian exposing the BAE scandal, is now cooperating with the DOJ. He was one of the bagmen who delivered bribes to the Saudis and perhaps others. The Swiss government is also cooperating, providing documentation of the dirty dealings.

But not the British...
