Oct. 8, 2007 (LPAC)--Based on Chinese press reports yesterday, Thomson Financial writes today that the decision has been made for China and Germany to jointly construct the Shanghai maglev railway's extension line, which links the city's Pudong airport with the financial district.
Citing unnamed sources with ThyssenKrupp AG, the Thomson Financial report said that companies from China and Germany have reached consensus on building the extension line together. No further information, nor official confirmation beyond the press report, has so far been provided. ThyssenKrupp presented the project among other designs, and displayed a model of the maglev train, at a technology exhibit just last week in Shanghai.
