LYM Takes LaRouche Solution to Argentine Congress

BUENOS AIRES, September 26, 2007 (LPAC)--The LaRouche Youth Movement in Argentina is carrying out a three-day blitz on the Congress here, organizing Congressional offices around their upcoming seminar on Oct. 1, the 25th anniversary of Lopez Portillo's speech at the United Nations, titled "We Need a New Economic System, Now!"

The LYM put up-front the urgency of LaRouche's New Bretton Woods and the organizing in the United States for the firewall of his Homeowners and Bank Protection Act of 2007. Yesterday, they had a team of seven organizers (five members and two contacts). Six organizers were back there today (two contacts, including one of those who went yesterday and someone else) and, as of now, they expect to have a team of ten on Thursday.

They put together a special 8-page LYM publication for this Congressional campaign, which leads with LaRouche's "This New Millenium of Ours " statement of Sept. 11, and includes the Homeowners and Bank Protection Act, quotations from Lopez Portillo's famous speech, as well as various news items on the ongoing disintegration of the "mother of all bubbles."

On the first day of this systematic blitz, they spoke with advisors or secretaries in eight offices, plus the staff of a Congressional committee, producing reactions which ranged from complaints of "Who let you} into this building," to great interest, including from advisors who have read LaRouche.

The award for the funniest reaction goes to the brother and advisor of a Congressman from the party of the Cheney-ac millionaire, Mauricio Macri. As the LYM delegation was leaving the office, the brother exclaimed to someone else in the office: "They're crazy! They want to restructure the financial system. Listen to this. Listen to this: these kids are pushing people who disappeared 200 years ago. Hamilton! Who is Hamilton?!"
