September 21, 2007 (LPAC)--Sen. Hillary Clinton received gales of laughter at a New York City fundraising event Sept. 19, when she spoke of spooky Dick Cheney, who makes regular Tuesday visits to Capitol Hill to menace Congressmen, as "Darth Vader."

"Vice President Cheney came up to see the Republicans yesterday," Senator Clinton told the crowd. "You can always tell when the Republicans are getting restless, because the Vice President's motorcade pulls into the Capitol, and Darth Vader emerges." Mrs. Clinton was speaking with particular reference to Cheney's efforts to pressure Republicans to back the White House policies in Iraq. She later added of Cheney, speaking informally with Gen. Wesley Clark (U.S. Army, ret.) and Tom Vilsack, former Governor of Iowa, that, "I'm not invited to their meetings, and I don't know what he [Cheney] says or does. But all the brave talk about bringing our troops home, and setting deadlines, and getting out by a certain date, just dissipated."
