Hedge Fund Lobby Is Applying Pressure On Congress From the DNC

Update On: Blackstone Pays Millions to Cheney Pal Berman for Political War Over Hedge Funds

September 17, 2007 (LPAC)--The lobbying company Ogilvy Government Relations, with the backing from the Blackstone Group, is launching a major offensive to block even a discussion of the bankruptcy of the hedge funds, because that, in itself, could bring them down. Also, this escalation is taking place at a time when Congress has only the immediate period to put up a firewall between the hedge funds and our nations homeowners and banks.

Ogilvy Government Relations, which includes Wayne Berman, who is closely associated with Dick and Lynn Cheney and other neo-con types, has found its way into the Democratic Party leadership, by means of the Democratic National Committee. Moses Mercado, a senior vice president, of Ogilvy Government Relations, was appointed by the DNC chairman Howard Dean as a DNC-At-Large member serving on the Resolutions Committee, where he still serves at this present moment.
