The Economist Calls for Belgium to be Dissolved

Sep. 8, 2007 (LPAC) - The Economist, living up to its imperial traditions, has called for the nation of Belgium to be dissolved. Noting that three months after the elections, Belgium has no government as yet (the reason being that the Flemish do not come to an agreement with the Walloons), the British Empire mouthpiece writes that "the country has become a freak of nature, a state in which power is so devolved that government is an abhorred vacuum. In short, Belgium has served its purpose. A praline divorce is in order." Among the British scenarios for the future post-dismembered Belgium: an "enlarged France."
