Aug. 28 (LPAC)--The Iowa AFL-CIO is the 22nd state federation of labor organization to endorse HR 676, Congressman John Conyers' "Medicare for All" universal single-payer health care legislation.

The endorsement, which occurred on Aug 17th, was announced by Democratic Presidential pre-candidate Dennis Kucinich, who is a co-sponsor of the legislation, at the presidential candidates debate in Iowa, the Healthcare-Now! website reports. The Texas AFL-CIO also endorsed the legislation in August at their statewide convention and is forwarding copies of their resolution to the Texas Congressional Delegation and the National AFL-CIO. Lyndon LaRouche also endorsed HR 676, in April 2006.
