August 2, 2007 (LPAC)-- The intervention by two members of the LYM provided the focus for a gathering of citizens in San Francisco, California, who came together for an event blasting the police state actions of the Cheney–Bush regime.

On July 31, an event in San Francisco, sponsored by the American Freedom Agenda- a group formed by two Conservative Republicans showed that the growing mood for impeachment is affecting just about every facet, ideology, and demographic of the population. The event, attended by the Larouche Youth Movement (LYM), was the discussion on the need for impeachment, and the concern about the continued violations of the Constitution by the Cheney-Bush administration. The speakers and founders of the group, were Bruce Fein, a lawyer who specializes in international law, and constitutional law, and was a former associate counsel in the President Reagan's justice department. The other founder is former congressman Bob Barr, from Georgia, who had been one of the main opponents of the police state measures known as the Patriot Act. These prominent Republicans, founded the group in March 2007, as a forum to defend the fundamental principles of the constitution by the Founding Fathers.

The LYM reported the attendees were mainly anti-Bush, and the anger shown by the population were at the inept, cowardice, and gutless leadership, of the Democrats by taking impeachment is “off the table”. However, both Fein and Barr showed the same confusion and the same fallacy of composition as the population; by not mentioning Cheney at all or his active involvement in committing these crimes. It was the LYM, who provided the focus by bringing up H.Res. 333, impending war against Iran, and BAE corruption scandal. But in response to the LYM both speakers showed the same confusion by focusing on impeaching Bush; rather than face the reality of the impending war danger, his incessant role in subverting the constitution. The most chaotic of all as Lyn warned, was the support of a third party candidacy; stated by Barr out of a rage against the two ruling parties a tactic which can be used as a tool to destroy the nation in a perilous time in history. The event showed that sooner or later elected officials, retired, and other institutional layers of the presidency will have to stop punting on Cheney’s main role in these crimes, and act as real patriots to save the nation by impeaching Cheney now.
