July 31, 2007 (LPAC)--Within days of Lyndon LaRouche's call for presidential candidates to boycott the farcical YouTube debates, a number of Republican candidates have shown that they apparently agree. According to a number of reports, CNN's plans to hold a YouTube debate for the Republican candidates in St. Petersburg, Florida are falling apart. A number of the candidates are claiming that they can't participate due to scheduling conflicts, or are just refusing to participate because they don't approve of the format, according to Fox News.
Wires report that only three GOP candidates -- Ron Paul, John McCain, and Tommy Thompson -- have agreed to participate in the YouTube GOP debate which was scheduled for Sept. 17, but which has now been postponed. Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney said they have scheduling conflicts. But for Romney, it's obviously more than just a scheduling conflict, since he says: "I think the presidency ought to be held at a higher level than having to answer questions from a snowman," referring to someone dressed as a snowman, who submitted a question about global warming.
