Reopened Pakistan Mosque is Re-opened, and Re-occupied

July 27, 2007 (LPAC)--Pakistan, another nation targeted by Anglo-American "perpetual war", continues to be engulfed in violence. Two weeks after a bloody army raid to evict Islamist occupiers from Islamabad's Red Mosque, Pakistani authorities reopened the mosque, only to see it immediately re-entered by Islamists. Protesters threw rocks and police used tear gas. A bomb exploded nearby, killing several policemen.

The authorities had painted the Red Mosque a pale yellow. Today the protesters put red paint back on the walls and hoisted a black jihad flag.
