July 25, 2007 (LPAC) - The head of the Philippines LaRouche Society, Butch Valdes, appeared for over an hour on one of the nation's leading TV interview shows, BZMM's "Talk Back" with Tina Palma, refuting the "business as usual" mindlessness of the official economists - including one who was on the program with Valdes. After describing the global financial breakdown crisis now unfolding, Valdes was asked about President Gloria Arroyo's statement, from her "State of the Nation" address, that she was sacrificing her popularity in order to do what is right. Valdes responded: "Madame President, the reason you're not popular is because you are doing everything wrong." He discussed the actions taken by Malaysia's Dr. Mahathir and Argentina's President Kirchner to defend their populations, and the New Bretton Woods agreements proposed by LaRouche as the only solution to the otherwise unavoidable collapse into a new dark age.
