Japan May Build High-Speed Rail in Ukraine

July 17, 2007 (LPAC) – Ukrainian Transport and Communications Minister Mykoly Rudkovsky said that Japan is interested in participating in a project to construct a high-speed rail line from Boryspil airport to Kiev, Ukrainian Journal reported last week. Rudkovsky was in Japan July 8-13. The Ukrainian Transport Ministry press service announced that Brudkovsky said that "during the talks with the director, who is responsible for projects abroad at the Foreign Ministry of Japan, I proposed to discuss a possibility to build a high-speed railway from the Boryspil airport to Kiev City. The Japanese side is very interested in the project."
